I bought Samsonite's top of the range Inova suitcase. Only the second time I used it, the piping got damaged which I saw as soon as I got home and was unpacking.

I took it to the dealer who passed it on to the Company. The response I get from Samsonite is that Airline is responsible; they have sold thousands of this brand of suitcases and have had no issues till now and basically their warranty covers only manufacturing defects. If the piping is so easily damaged then obviously its of poor quality - certainly nothing like this has happened to my other suitcases. I expected them to repair or replace the suitcase & all I get is that company rules don't allow this!

I was told that I should have noticed it in the airport and taken it up with the airline.I am a frequent flier and I can assure you nothing like this has happened before with my other suitcases.I expect expensive suitcases to deliver on normal durability to withstand the normal wear & tear of airline travel.

I will never buy a Samsonite ever again.
