Trying to get my suitcase lock fixed

Samsonite - Trying to get my suitcase lock fixed

I purchased two suitcases before a long trip abroad. One came with the lock preset to 0-0-0 and I was able to set to my own combination with no problem.

However, the second suitcase came with no preset lock and I am unable to use the lock. I had to travel and carry it with me instead of checking it. I contacted support and was given not once, but on two different emails from two different individuals different instructions to reset or pick my own lock to reset it. None of these instructions were accurate and did not reflect the lock I have.

Keep in mind that I provided the information on what suitcase it is. I have been told by Samsonite support that I can drive this suitcase to a location over an hour drive from my home to see if an authorized repair center can fix or I can take it to a locksmith. In each scenario, I am told they do not know what it will cost to fix it. I pushed back and they replied with "Ok, then send us pictures of the unused suitcase..." OH MY GOD.

THESE *** PEOPLE!

I will never order another item from this company. YOU HAVE JUST CONFIRMED HOW LITTLE YOU GIVE A CRAP ABOUT YOUR CLIENTS.

Help with registration

We are still having issues with the registration. Anytime you call the phone number you either get placed on hold for a long time and then they disconnect you or they tell you all of their staff is in training. So you can never get through to them weve tried several times over the past week and had no success so we still havent been able to register our suitcases. Very unhappy with the customer service portion.

Help with a return

I bought a Samsonite large duffel. I did not like it at all, after I used it one time. I was told it can no longer be returned. Im not certain how youre supposed to know if you like something, until you use it? The wheels on it are horrible and I absolutely did not like it at all. You did not solve my problem. I will no longer be purchasing anything from Samsonite.

On July 16, 2022, I purchased (3) pieces of samsonite luggage for a total of $876.30. I have not used 1 of the suitcases and would like to know if I can exchange or get a store credit for that item.

On August 27, 2023, I visited my local Dillards department store when it opened at 11:00 a.m. our time located 30 miles away and brought said item in the store and tried to get an answer. Cameron Jeansonne was the young man that waited on me. He said he would have to get his supervisor to answer my question.

I waited for over 30 minutes and still NO one came. He could tell that I was getting tired of waiting and left to try and find a person to help me. He returned shortly and informed me that whomever he spoke to - told him that because it was over a year since purchase was made - there was NOTHING they could do. NO ONE ever came to even look at the suitcase or talk to a me.

I would think that more attention would be given to a customer that spent almost $1000 in a single purchase. I was NOT asking for a refund. I know I am at fault for not returning said item before the year end. I thought because of the great reputation Samsonite has with its product - the stores that handle these items would be more helpful that this!!!
I would like to commend, Mr.

Cameron Jeansonne, who was the salesperson (who just started working there for only 3 months) for his help and assistance in my wait for an answer. He was very professional and courteous in trying to do his job - which is to help a customer, any customer, when shopping in any place of business.

Said to click eight and I would be sent to an operator. Did not happen. I hit one to start over and got disconnected.

Nothing as unable to contact as no one answered the phone or anything to that effect. Your menu is not very effective. I dont have anything else to say just need someone to contact me. Thank you and have a blessed day. Not sure what else to say because it is a minimum of 100.
